We are excited to announce Ashley Solomon’s solo flute online recitals on Zoom. The idea originated from the recent lockdown and missing the “live” element of performing, going to concerts and enjoying the spirit and energy that can only be achieved in the moment of a performance, which is something very few recordings are able to capture.
Ashley has arranged a series of 3 concerts to experience complete solo baroque flute works of Johann Sebastian Bach, his son Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and CPE’s godfather Telemann. He has therefore named this series of performances Father, Son and The Godfather.
Details of the three concerts and programmes are below. For the moment these performances will only be available through Zoom. If you would like to join us, please complete this brief online form and we will send you the Zoom details on the day of the concert.
Obviously we are not running a box office for these concerts but, should you wish to purchase “tickets” or offer a donation for the concert(s) then you can do so through paypal or by BACS to the Florilegium Ltd account.

We plan to share the income from these concerts with the charity Women’s Aid, a lifesaving federation of frontline domestic abuse services, supporting women and children at the most challenging times of their lives. This charity has no government subsidy and I would like to support them at this difficult time.
The “concert hall” at Village Road will be open from 18.00 and Ashley will be introducing the music during the concert which will start promptly at 18.15. The concerts will be followed by a Q&A session.
