After the success of his three solo baroque flute recitals which finished a few weeks ago and having received numerous requests to repeat this format, Ashley has now prepared a new programme of music to share with you all and this new ‘live’ concert has been planned for Monday 15 June. We will follow the same format as before. The concert will start promptly at 18.15. The concert hall (my conservatory at Village Road) will be open from 18.00 and we will send out the zoom invitation codes on 15 June.
As before, this concert will not be recorded so if you are unable to attend in person, unfortunately you will miss it. We will also hold a brief Q&A immediately following the performance and you are invited to pop questions into the chat box during the concert.
Please do join Ashley in a few weeks when he will be presenting solo flute suites by Quantz and Boismortier, the wonderful Folies d’espagne by Marais, some Scottish tunes arranged by James Oswald in the mid-18th century and some virtuosic recorder music by Jacob van Eyck. Ashley was touched to receive a new composition just days after his final performance on 12 May by a young British composer and he hopes to give the world premiere of this short work as well.
If you have other friends/family/acquaintances who you think might like to join you, please ask them to email email@example.com using the Subject ‘I would like to attend ADSM Concert, 15.6.20’. You will then receive further details, programme notes a few days beforehand and Zoom meeting information on the day of the concert.
Ashley will share the proceeds of this concert with the charity Arts Destination South Molton which promotes all arts activities in and around Devon and will arrange the first Deep Roots Festival next year.
