The most recent CD release, of Bach’s Cantatas with Johannette Zomer, and Orchestral Suite No.2 with Ashley Solomon, has won the prestigious Edison Award in Holland, in the baroque recordings category. Florilegium appeared live on Dutch TV (12 June 08) as part of the award ceremony playing some of the suite and cantatas from this new CD.

The Edison Award is the oldest and most prestigious Dutch Music Prize, presented since 1960. It has a grand history in TV-shows through the years. The Edison Classical Music Award is a special prize for quality in CD recordings and is the equivalent to the U.S. Grammy Award, the BRIT Award, the Grand Prix du Disque In France and the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis in Germany.
